We've been an Abitino's fan for years. First, in our old neighborhood at their 2nd Avenue and 39th Street location. Then, their other locations.

Sal, Dominic, and Mario Abitino have a knack for truly delicious, traditional New York Style Pizza. The tomato sauce is wonderfully seasoned and tastes just the way you expect it to. The mozzarella is beautiful. It is stringy and has a rich flavor that makes the pie heavenly.

We have been to parties catered by the Abitinos. Their catering is unbeatable. If you are planning a holiday party, their entrees are traditional Italian dishes that will please your guests.

For many generations, the Abitino family has shared its love of authentic Italian food. Born in Naples, Mario Abitino comes from a long line of Italians who believe that a good home-cooked meal can lift anyone's spirits, and nothing can make a person feel better than fine Italian food!

Having inherited the family's secret recipes, Mario knew it would be a struggle that would take hard work to
make his dreams come true. The Abitino family opened its first store in Brooklyn, New York, in 1974. In February of 1992 the Abitino family decided to expand by opening a pizzeria on 52nd Street in Manhattan.

It was an instant success and in November of the same year the Abitinos opened their Italian Ristorante located on 39th Street and 2nd Avenue. April of 1998 brought their biggest challenge yet - the Abitino family embarked on a new adventure by expanding their chain to the Palisades Center Mall.
